Mark McKinney

Leadership Development Strategist

Mark McKinney was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, earning his bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University. He has nearly a decade of history with the Flippen Group. Mark began teaching Teen Leadership at Brewer Middle School, allowing his 8th-grade students to earn high school speech credit while still in middle school. During these years, he brought over 150 students to Capturing Kids’ Hearts trainings to present speeches describing how the processes impacted them. Mark became a summer trainer in 2011 and joined the Flippen Group as a leadership development strategist in 2013.

Mark entered the education field when, as a businessman, he heard Flip Flippen speak at a conference. Flip explained what he was doing in education and Mark instantly knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He left his career and pursued his teaching certificate.  During his eight years as a Teen Leadership teacher and coach, Mark made an indelible impact on students and staff alike. As a coach at Brewer Middle School, Mark had the highest winning percentage of the entire staff during his tenure.

Mark and his wife Robbin, also a teacher, reside in Fort Worth, Texas. They have three daughters, Shannon, Rhema, and Amy. They love spending time with their family and friends.
