Leadership Profile

Lynn Bray

Lynn Bray

Leadership Development Senior Strategist

Lynn Bray graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in curriculum and instruction.

She taught English at Vidor High School for ten years, where she was introduced to the Capturing Kids’ Hearts processes. She added Teen Leadership to her schedule during her last five years in the classroom. After attending, Lynn commented, “Capturing Kids’ Hearts gave me the skills I needed to truly love ALL my students. What happened next was amazing. I found out that when I gave students what they wanted – love – they gave me beautiful sentences analyzing stories by Shakespeare. How awesome is that?”

During her classroom career, Lynn was involved with curriculum writing, sponsoring school clubs, and promoting positive attitudes. She was honored by her peers when she was chosen Campus Teacher of the Year in 1993 and was selected to represent her district and Region V as the 1994 Teacher of the Year. The Ladies’ Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars selected her as their candidate for 1994-95 Teacher of the Year, and she ranked second in the state of Texas.

Lynn joined the Flippen Group in May of 2004 as a summer trainer. She stepped onboard full time in the fall of 2005 and was a support person for Teen Leadership course leaders. She works with teachers and schools nationwide in implementing the Capturing Kids’ Hearts and Teen Leadership processes.

Lynn lives in Vidor, Texas, with her husband, Doug. They have two children, Ryan, and Jordan, and one granddaughter, London.
