“Book Smarts” are not the only test of intelligence. Amy Erwin devoted her teaching career to helping students that may not be ‘straight A’ students realize they have strengths and are smart… it just may not be expressed through testing. She began her teaching career in 2002 in Katy ISD. She taught reading, English, public speaking and physical education at both the elementary and secondary levels. She also enjoyed coaching volleyball for many years.
Amy was first exposed to Capturing Kids’ Hearts in 2007. She had no idea how much it would impact her relationships inside the classroom and personally. She will tell you that the process was life changing!
Amy lives outside of Houston, Texas and enjoys spending her time with her husband, Brian, twin boys, Drew and Ty, and daughter, Shane. Her favorite things to do are spend time with family and watch her children participate in various sporting events and other activities.
