Leadership Development Strategist
Dr. Audrey Sanders has been an advocate for high quality public education for over 25 years. She believes that no child should be trapped by the zip code that their family lives in; but, have an opportunity for school choice that can offer a positive learning environment. Audrey grew up in La Porte, Texas in an impoverished neighborhood. Her first classroom was in the family’s front yard with her two brothers as the students and the Dick and Jane series, See Spot Run as their only textbook!
Audrey quickly evolved from playing school in the front yard to developing a love for teaching and reaching into students’ lives. She has served as a teacher, a national trainer for teachers, supervisor, central office administrator, principal and is currently the Superintendent of Arrow Academy in Texas. Audrey has proven leadership at the campus level in closing the achievement gap from being below grade level proficiency in reading to 100% passing rate in reading for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades on the state assessment, STAAR.
Audrey’s joy is her family. She is married to her college sweetheart, Carlos, and they have two beautiful daughters Ariana and Caitlyn.
