Leadership Profile
Briana Pickett
Briana Pickett
Leadership Development Strategist
Briana Pickett is an educator, leading and serving her community and school. She has been on her county’s library board and other civic organizations and has served on her school’s leadership team in several capacities.
Before her current career, Briana spent five years working in corporate America. This experience, along with a short time working with troubled youth in an incarcerated environment, convinced her to pursue a career aimed at preventing young people from getting into such desolate and seemingly hopeless situations – she decided to teach. Briana enrolled in the education program at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA and graduated in 2015. She began her career at Midway Middle School teaching 7th-grade language arts.
In June of 2016, Briana participated in a Capturing Kids’ Hearts training and fell in love with the process. She has championed the process at her school and was humbled by the opportunity to join the Flippen Group in December of 2016 as a trainer. She has been working to perfect the art of “capturing hearts” ever since.
In addition to roles above, Briana also works as a tutor at the Georgia Youth Challenge Academy, a Georgia program for at-risk youth. Although Briana enjoys her time providing service to her community and school, her greatest accomplishment is being a mom to her daughter, Madison.
