Chris Owor

Leadership Development Strategist

Growing up in Alief, Texas, Chris Owor implemented the Capturing Kids’ Hearts process in his personal life, the basketball court, and in the classroom. He started his education career teaching in the alternative school setting in Los Angeles, California. Chris taught special education, health, and physical education in various high schools in Los Angeles before moving back to Texas. During this time, he also served as head basketball coach at several schools. He continues to stay involved with instilling character education by teaching Flippen Group LeadWorthy classes at a Houston area high school. These students learn the importance of self-confidence, serving, and empowering peers in their local community.

Chris lives in Katy, Texas with his wife Crystal, and two kids Chris Jr. and Cali. He enjoys playing basketball, running, exercise and working outdoors. He credits his success in the classroom and on the basketball floor to the relationships he has built along the way that holds him accountable to be his best. Coach Owor is passionate about developing lifelong leaders within each student throughout the country.
