Chris Cruz

Chris Cruz

Chris Cruz has always had a passion for relationships, performance, and personal growth. He has served at the middle school level as teacher, facilitator, mentor, and department chair for English Language Arts. Chris graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He also received his master’s from DBU in Educational Leadership.

Chris’ passion for his students flourished in 2016 when he implemented Capturing Kids’ Hearts processes into his English classroom. His zeal for his students allowed him to grow dramatically as an educator. In his role with the Flippen Group, he strives to assist teachers and administrators in establishing meaningful connections with their students and staff.

Chris lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Genevieve, and their dog, Cassie. Some of his favorite pastimes are camping in the beautiful outdoors and sitting down with a good book. He enjoys coaching youth soccer and supporting his students in their various activities. Chris credits his success in the classroom to fostering relationships with his students and making their learning meaningful and rigorous.<
