Leadership Profile
Danielle Rapp
Danielle Rapp
Leadership Development Advisor
A product of Conroe ISD schools, Danielle Rapp has had the privilege of spending 33 years as an educator in that same district. She is an honor graduate of both Tyler Junior College, where she was a member of the Apache Belles dance team, and Sam Houston State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and dance.
Danielle has taught speech/theater arts, communication applications, Teen Leadership, and directed dance teams at the junior high and high school level. She is currently at College Park High School in The Woodlands, teaching Teen Leadership I and II, and serving as the district’s lead Teen Leadership teacher and department chair for electives.
Danielle was named Teacher of the Year in 1990, 2002, 2004 and 2011, and in 2002 was awarded District Secondary Education Teacher of the Year. She received Humanitarian of the Year awards in 1991 and 2013. Since 2004, Danielle has served as a lead facilitator for the summer Student Leadership Academy offered by the superintendent, Dr. Don Stockton, and returned to Tyler Junior College to facilitate leadership workshops for the Apache Belles and Apache Band.
Family is high on her priority list. She’s been married for 23 football seasons to Coach Jim Rapp, and her son, Tyler, plays football for the US Air Force Academy. Her dachshund, Lexi, and her cat, Smokey, round out the family. In her spare time, she tap dances, volunteers, travels, and loves to sit on a beach with a good book.
Attending Capturing Kids’ Hearts was life changing for her both personally and professionally. Becoming a summer trainer in 2014 was the icing on the cake and a pure joy! Her wish is for all educators to share her experience of getting to know “the kid behind the grade.”
That’s a Rapp!
