Derek Lokey
Derek Lokey
Director of Client Strategy and Engagement
Derek is passionate about people, performance, and leadership. This passion is applied to his current role at Flippen Group, leading the team responsible for ensuring alignment and integration of Flippen tools and processes to improve client performance.
Derek leads projects and works directly with industries including manufacturing, oil and gas services, retail energy, private equity, real estate, healthcare, sports and entertainment, transportation and logistics, and technology. Derek also focuses on the study and development of millennial leaders and serves many of our clients as a professional coach.
Before his time at Flippen Group, Derek had a successful career in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs as a defensive lineman. He earned his bachelor’s degree at The University of Texas and played for the 2005 National Champion University of Texas Longhorn football team. He was also voted captain of the team and earned Academic All-American honors.
Derek and his wife, Charlie, reside in Dallas, Texas and have three sons: Logan, Lawson, and Landon.
