DONNA SHEPPARD
Leadership Development Strategist
Born in Houston, Donna’s childhood taught her the value of working hard, appreciating others, and giving more than you receive. It is as a lifeguard in her teenage years that she found her love for working with children and was inspired to pursue a career in education.
Serving for 31 years in public education has been a passion driven journey for Donna. She first became familiar with Capturing Kid’s Hearts processes in 1998. After many years in the classroom, Donna was promoted to assistant principal. She then became an elementary principal. Building a new staff and school culture from scratch is a special memory for Donna. Her last 8 years in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (outside of Houston) were spent serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary School Administration. Her love for coaching principals was fulfilled as she supported over 50 elementary principals in this leadership role. Above all, Donna feels developing relationships is the key to success in work and in life.
Donna currently resides in Huntsville, Texas with her husband Scott, who is a superintendent. They both have dedicated their lives to public education. Donna and Scott love the outdoors and spending time with family. They especially love time spent with their five children at a lake or beach.
