Jake Knash was born in Muskegon, Michigan. He has worked at Otsego Public Schools for the past decade teaching language arts, physical education, and Teen Leadership at Otsego Middle School. He also coaches varsity softball and junior varsity football. He joined the Flippen Group in the summer of 2013 as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts trainer.
Jake decided that education was his mission field right out of high school. At age 18, he became a football, basketball, and baseball coach at Orchard View High School in Muskegon, Michigan, and then decided to pursue his education degree at Grand Valley State University. In 2009, Jake had the opportunity to go to a Capturing Kids’ Hearts training in Salado, Texas, and was convinced to incorporate the techniques into his classroom and to teach Teen Leadership.
Jake is married to Sarah Knash and has three beautiful daughters: Madison, Emma, and Rylee. They live in Otsego, Michigan, and Jake enjoys spending time with family, fishing, camping, and going to Detroit Tigers games.
