Leadership Development Executive

Jeff Thorpe knows what it means “TO WIN!” He has been winning on the basketball court, in classrooms, and in relationships his entire life. Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in education from Baylor University, where he earned a full scholarship. He received additional graduate hours in education from Stephen F. Austin University and was a member of the basketball team at Trinity Valley Community College.

Jeff has been in education for over 30 years, serving 12 years as high school varsity basketball coach, five years as athletic director, and eight years as junior varsity basketball coach. He was the head boys’ basketball coach at Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas, and taught business ownership and Teen Leadership. Jeff has served on both the Safe Schools and Drug Abuse task forces for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas. Jeff’s current responsibilities at Flippen Group include training teachers and administrators all over the country, as well as working with the Flippen training staff.

Jeff lives in Houston with his wife, Robbin, and they have two grown children. He considers the chance to touch the lives of young people to be the greatest opportunity an adult has in the world today. Living by the words of John C. Maxwell, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” Jeff has made it his mission to develop meaningful relationships with young people in an attempt to develop tomorrow’s leaders.
