Leadership Profile

Jessi Satterfield

Jessi Satterfield

Leadership Development Strategist

Jessi Satterfield knew from a young age that she wanted to teach. She is a third-generation educator, and like others in her family has a heart to serve others. She was very involved her high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she served not only on a variety of teams and committees, but also as the school mascot! Her heart for service continued when she moved on to the University of Wyoming where she was a Resident Assistant and an Assistant Hall Director, while earning a concurrent degree in English and Secondary Education.

Jessi began teaching in 2009 and has taught 6th-9th grade English in Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, and Maryland while her husband served in the military.

She has been the lead teacher on “The Flippen Team” at two  schools, working with staff and students to continue a culture of kindness and respect within their communities.

Jessi first attended Capturing Kids’ Hearts in 2011, and knew that the Flippen Group was where she wanted to be. In 2017, she joined the Flippen Group as a summer facilitator. After living the processes of Capturing Kids’ Hearts and seeing its impact on her students and schools, Jessi is incredibly excited to get to be able to share it with educators all over the USA.

Jessi’s heart is most full when spending quality time with her husband, Steve, and their son, Marshall. They enjoy being outside, playing with Lego (the family dog), and laughing with family and friends.
