Kenneth Joyner

Kenneth Joyner

Leadership Development Strategist

Kenneth Joyner is driven by a heart to serve others. He was born in Washington, DC. There he served as a youth mentor in Baltimore, Maryland for ten years. Working with tough inner-city youth left an imprint on Kenny. He saw the impact and importance of having a significant adult in one’s life and the influence it can have on someone’s choices.

After sixteen years of working in the corporate sector, he decided to focus on his passion and seek a degree in Education. He began his teaching career in 2011 with the Charleston County School District, working as a Reading Interventionist with all grades at the secondary level. After two years he was named “Teacher of the Year” at Memminger Elementary School.

While he believes in educating his students, he also believes in the importance of building the character of each student he comes in contact with both in and outside of the classroom. The passion that he has for mentoring and inspiring young people has led him to start a non-profit organization, “Boys with a Purpose”, designed to empower and develop young boys to seek out their life’s purpose.

Kenny is married to his best friend and life partner, Nicole and together they have one daughter, Bria. They reside in Charleston, South Carolina. Together they love traveling and spending time with family.
