Leadership Development Advisor
Laura Wagner was born in Galveston, Texas, and completed her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Texas. She has been educating students from elementary to high school for the past 37 years, has been a grader for the AP Economics Exam for seven years, and has presented on instructional topics such as economics, active engagement, CHAMPs, PSAT Prep, writing objectives, and new teacher training.
During that time, she received several awards for outstanding teaching, including the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank Teacher of the Year, Bryan High School Teacher of the Year, Texas Exes Outstanding Teacher, and was a finalist for the HEB Excellence in Education award. She is currently a teacher and the International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas.
Laura has been associated with the Flippen Group for almost 20 years as a Teen Leadership teacher and during her summers as a leadership development advisor. Her passion is helping others reach their fullest potential – academically, socially, and emotionally.
When she is not working, you will probably find Laura competing in ballroom dance and spending time with her family, which includes her son, Josh, and his fiancée, Courtney; her daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-love, Brian; and her precious granddaughter, Hannah.
