Lisa Fobian
Leadership Development Advisor
Lisa grew up in southern California, the first in her family to graduate from college. She received her bachelor’s degree in management from Sonoma State University and is a certified public accountant. She has a secondary teaching certificate and completed her master’s degree in leadership management.
Immediately following college graduation, she worked 16 years for Chevron Products Company, Chevron Chemical Company, and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LLC. She held various accounting positions before moving into chemical intermediate new business development and retired in 2003 from the oil and chemical industry.
Following retirement, she began teaching high school at Taylor High School in Katy, Texas as a long-term substitute and then full-time, teaching business classes and coaching volleyball and basketball. She began teaching Teen Leadership classes and was selected lead teacher and coordinator for the course. Teen Leadership is currently the largest elective in Katy ISD at both the junior high and high school grade levels.
In 2009, Lisa started working as a summer leadership development advisor for the Flippen Group and brings student speakers to Capturing Kids’ Hearts trainings four times per year to demonstrate the leadership and speaking skills they have learned in their Teen Leadership class. She is passionate about working with educators and students all over the country. Presenting opportunities and choices to current and future leaders and educators both energizes her and brings her joy.
Running is a hobby and exercise Lisa enjoys on the weekends. She loves attending the sporting events, choir concerts, band concerts, and piano recitals of her youngest two children and is very proud of her eldest son, as he is serving in the US Air Force.
