Leadership Profile

NIKKI SHIPLEY

NIKKI SHIPLEY

Leadership Development Strategist

Nikki learned at an early age how to build relationships and make new friends. As part of a military family, she was born in Germany; later moved to Guam and then eventually settled in Texas. She began her career in Education in South Dallas at one of the toughest schools in the area. This experience strengthened her belief that teaching teachers to be “relationship driven” was as important as content but so too is how to teach them to build relationships student to student.

She currently teaches sixth at Fitzgerald Elementary where she is a team leader and mentors first year teachers on her campus. Nikki is most proud of the “Teacher of the Year” award she received in 2017. She was first associated with the Flippen Group processes when she attended training and started implementing Capturing Kids’ Hearts processes in her classroom. She then became a Process Champion leader for her school with the systemic implementation of the process at her school. Nikki has a passion for teaching, her students, and helping others grow. The belief–“Instead of preparing the path for the child– Prepare the child for the path.” drives her daily. Being able to collaborate with educators from all over the country to make an impact on schools is her latest passion.

Nikki currently resides in her hometown of Arlington, Texas. She has been married to her sweetheart, Scott, for 15 years who is a fireman. They have two boys, Jack- 10 and Asher-7, who play baseball. In her spare time, her family enjoys the outdoors, playing board games, and hanging out with life long friends.
