Rose Jones

Rose Jones

Leadership Solutions Strategist

Rose Jones is a teacher at heart. She feels at home in the classroom and counts it a privilege and an honor to be called ‘teacher.’ In preparation for this, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a second bachelor’s in English/secondary education from Colorado University. She later earned her master’s in education administration from the University of Nebraska.

Rose spent ten years teaching language arts, drama, yearbook, business education, and alternative education. During her teaching career, she coached, directed plays, and sponsored various activities. Rose also spent eight years as a high school and district administrator. Most of her administrative experience centered on professional development and curriculum and instruction. Because of her vast experience in education, she has been asked to give presentations at several state and national educational conferences.

Rose joined the Flippen Group in the summer of 2007 as a leadership solutions strategist and leadership development strategist. She provides professional development for teachers, administrators, and business professionals, helping them strengthen their leadership skills in both their professional and personal lives. Her presentation is fast-paced and inspiring. Rose has successfully implemented Flippen Group processes in all areas of her life and uses her successes, as well as her failures, to help tell her story. Rose values education but believes passion comes from the heart. She loves the words of Beauchene, “You are never a great man when you have more mind than heart.”

Rose has a passion for people and life. She finds great joy in building relationships, so one of her favorite hobbies is hearing people’s life stories. Her greatest adventure thus far has been as a wife and mother. She loves the outdoors and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her home is tucked in the mountainside in Colorado Springs, where she lives with her husband, Doug, their two children, Gabrielle and Christian, a miniature boxer named Sammy, and a sassy yellow tabby cat, Pouncer.
