Leadership Profile

Shane Naterman, Ed.D.

Shane Naterman, Ed.D.

Leadership Development Strategist

Shane Naterman was raised in Fort Worth, Texas, where he went on to build a career in secondary education before joining the Flippen Group as a Leadership Development Strategist. Shane received his undergraduate degree from Hardin Simmons University, his master’s in education at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and his doctorate in education at Texas Wesleyan University.

Shane began his career as a social studies teacher and coach at both the middle school and high school levels prior to becoming an administrator. He served his campuses as a high school assistant principal in preparation for a decade of service as a principal, again serving both middle school and high school populations. During his early years in administration, he was introduced to Capturing Kids’ Hearts. The transformational process became the standard for new teacher induction. Shane enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the Flippen Group before joining the team full-time.

In addition to serving campuses across the country, Shane works with professional organizations and educational advisory boards. He is a published author, a regular guest lecturer at local universities, and a self-professed “school nerd” – the only way he can articulate his love and appreciation for all things education.

Shane and his wife, Erin, currently reside in Huntington Beach, California with their daughter Emmalie. When not traveling, the goal for his family is to get outdoors and spend quality time together.
