Taryne started teaching at an earlier age than most. As a teenager, she taught Sunday school in Houston, Texas.
After moving to Lancaster, Texas, her passion for impacting children grew as she started teaching at Belt Line Elementary. She attended Capturing Kids’ Hearts professional development and incorporated the philosophy into her teaching strategies.
Taryne was named Teacher of the Year following her first year at Belt Line Elementary School. She also received an Innovative Teaching Grant in 2013 and has contributed to the development of the district’s Intervention Resource Bank, Common Formative Assessment Committee, and she served as a master teacher.
In 2014 she joined the Grand Prairie Independent School District, where she participated in and embraced the district-wide implementation of Capturing Kids’ Hearts for all schools.
Taryne’s greatest gift is her family. She is the proud wife of Alexeev Dismuke and the mother of one son, currently attending college in Iowa.
